Dating apps want to have privileges on the App Store

The Dutch antitrust watchdog has hit Apple with a third fine for not allowing dating apps to use alternative payment methods. The move comes after Apple announced it would cut the commission it takes on third-party payments to 27%, a small step down from the iPhone maker’s standard 30% commission that many developers aren’t happy with.

Officials say they’re studying the recent changes. Meanwhile, Apple’s Netherlands policy could indicate how the company plans to comply with new laws in other global markets.
