Nutritionist and celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak, MSc, is the king of simple weight loss tips, and he isn't shy about sharing his opinion on diets, nor about what he thinks you should — and shouldn't — be eating!

And while we've known about his famous breakfast smoothie for weight loss for a while, he's got a new trick up his sleeve as of late: swapping your morning oats for hot jicama cereal! That's right — heat up that crisp root veggie to add tons more vitamin C (see ya, flu season) and extra fiber (one of his pillars of weight loss) to your morning meal.

Harley tossed his with cinnamon (hooray for anti-inflammatory, blood-sugar stabilizing spices!), as well as "apple, walnuts, whey, and a lil water" — so it looks like he amped up the protein to make this meal more macro balanced. Needless to say, we're heading to Trader Joe's to pick up some jicama immediately.
