I was happy to know about Personal Vault for OneDrive. It’s really cool feature from Microsoft, and I like OneDrive. It’s very convenient and cheap cloud service for family.

But last sentence is not so true. I was disappointed because Personal Vault available for iOS, Android and Windows only. Not for macOS users. It makes Personal Vault pointless for macOS users. Because if you use it on your iOS or Android device then you can’t save/open your files right in the Finder of your iMac or MacBook. You should go to the website onedrive.live.com.

I even asked OneDrive team about it. And they told me the same as I said above.

Yes, unfortunately Microsoft doesn’t know when they can implement Personal Vault into macOS app.

Recently OneDrive became better. And I’m talking about not only new icon and style. Yes, some features still need to improve. For example — Files On-Demand function. It’s really cool feature which frees up space on computer. But works weird with Xcode. If you turn it on then every time when you’ll try to save your project file, you’ll get notification like below that document could not be autosaved. The file has been changed by another application. It’s not a big problem, but I should click “Save Anyway” every time. It’s really annoying.

I never had this kind of notifications when I used similar function in Dropbox.

I just hope Microsoft will solve it and also will add Personal Vault in macOS app.
