Personal Vault in OneDrive, but not for macOS

I was happy to know about Personal Vault for OneDrive. It’s a cool feature from Microsoft, and I like OneDrive. It’s a very convenient and cheap cloud service for the family.

But the last sentence is not so true. I was disappointed because Personal Vault available for iOS, Android, and Windows only. Not for macOS users. It makes Personal Vault pointless for macOS users. Because if you use it on your iOS or Android device then you can’t save/open your files right in the Finder of your iMac or MacBook. You should go to the website onedrive.live.com.

I even asked the OneDrive team about it. And they told me the same as I said above.

Yes, unfortunately, Microsoft doesn’t know when they can implement Personal Vault into the macOS app.

Recently OneDrive became better. And I’m talking about not only the new app icon and style. Yes, some features still need to improve. For example — Files On-Demand function. It’s a cool feature that frees up space on a computer. But it works weirdly with Xcode. If you turn it on then whenever you’ll try to save your project file, you’ll get a notification like below that document could not be autosaved. The file has been changed by another application. It’s not a big problem, but I should click “Save Anyway” every time. It’s annoying and wasting time.

never had this kind of notification when I used a similar function in Dropbox. I only hope Microsoft will solve it and also will add Personal Vault in the macOS app.
